The Awkward Phone Call.
There was this girl from my high school that I haven’t seen in a long time and she said hi to me at the grocery store. This was our conversation:
Girl: Oh Hey! Do you remember me!?
Me: Yeah of course! Hey…
Girl: Haha it’s ok if you don’t remember.
Me: Haha yeah, I’m sorry. I’m better with faces than I am with names.
Girl : Mhm sure, that’s what they all say!
Me: (In my head) Yuuup!
Girl: So what school do you go to?
Me: Oh. None.
Girl: What do you mean?
Me: I’m in this band…and well…it’s a long story.
Girl: Oh I see!
Me: Yeah, it’s pretty embarrassing.
Girl: Yeah.
Me: (In my head) Shoot, this is awkward. My face is getting hot.
*This is the point of no return
Me: Oh shoot! My phone is ringing!
Girl: Sure…I don’t hear anything!
Me: It’s on vibrate!
My Phone: Starts ringing
Girl: If it’s on vibrate then why is it ringing? I’m jk. I’m just giving you a hard time!
Me: Yeah!
^What was I thinking? LOL
At that point I was almost sweating and I felt really embarrassed.
